Description
The Salisbury Rail Station Park 'n' Ride currently experiences high demand from commuters on weekdays, and is over capacity. With Overflow parking & illegal parking impacting the safety for both commuters using the facility, and other road users, the liveability of the area for residents and adjoining light industrial areas.
Role
DYKMAN Consulting have been appointed by TMR to develop a complete preliminary and detailed design of the new expanded Salisbury Park 'n' Ride allowing for a minimum additional 167 car parks in stages 2 & 3 and also the realignment of the eastern service road.
Challenges & Achievements
The project has multiple challenges including the short project timeframe from completion as well as complex PUP relocations and associated redundant works from the previous Stage 1 design. DC have already achieved an additional 47 car parks over the required amount and are ahead of the required project timeframes.
