Role
DYKMAN Consulting (DC) has been engaged by John Holland Group Pty Ltd (JHG) to undertake the “Space Proofing” for the Telecommunications and Gas design packages. DC’s primary role continues to take Telecommunications and Gas design packages from review of tender design arrangements, updated design alignments, space proofing to achieve Local/State/Public Utility Authority (PUA)/Project Scope requirements and to ultimately deliver Approved For Construction packages inclusive of RPEQ’d Design Drawing Package and Design Report.
Challenges & Achievements
Due to the nature of the urbanised environment and complexities surrounding existing services in a condensed road reserve, Phase 1 of the GCLR Stg3 confirmed the location of services in over 1000 locations. DC has worked collaboratively with City of Gold Coast, Transport of Transport and Main Roads, JHG, Telstra and APA Gas via weekly Project Status Meetings and Technical Working Groups to achieve both constructability requirements and minimise impacts to stakeholders.
