This project is the detailed design to upgrade eight (8) existing intersections and roads, The key objective for each site on this Project is to improve safety for all road users. The eight sites are:

• Breakfast Creek Road and Edmondstone Road, Bowen Hills

• James Street, Doggett Street and Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley

• Kessels Road and Orange Grove Road, Salisbury

• Melton Road and Nellie Street, Nundah        

• St Pauls Terrace, Gipps Street and Kennigo Street, Fortitude Valley

• St Pauls Terrace, Quarry Street and Warren Street, and Gotha Street, Fortitude Valley

• Wynnum Road and Beverley Street, Morningside

• Wynnum Road, Southgate Avenue and Cannondale Street, Cannon Hill

Role

DYKMAN Consulting has been appointed by BCC to undertake the Detailed Design phase of each of the eight sites, The purpose of the detailed design is to finalise all elements in the pre-construction phase that results in a design solution in the form of a set of Construction Documents to establish the construction contract for construction by Council.

The scope of detail design is to include:

• Development of 100% Detail Design including Design Report(s) and engineering drawings

• Detailed design of Public Utility Plant (PUP) relocations required and Public Utility Report

• Constructability Report with consideration of methods of construction, staging and traffic management required

• Cost Estimate of each site and the total Project costs in accordance with DTMR’s Project Cost Estimating Manual

• Design Report, including sign off from Council

• Provision of an approved Safety in Design Report and Risk Management Plan
