DYKMAN Consulting was engaged by Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) to undertake the rehabilitation of Ficus Way which is the main entrance into the International Terminal.

Role

Our team were responsible for the development of the concept, prelim and detailed design submission and contract administration of the works. We were also responsible for responding for RFI's during the tender period as well as providing construction support to BAC.

Challenges & Achievements

• We needed to maintain access in to the international terminal at all times and our staging of the works allowed this to occur

• We coordinated the geotechnical and PFAS testing and interpreted the results in to the rehabilitation of the pavement

• No variations occurred during the construction as a result of any design omissions.
